The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) has selected Campaigners for Change International Executive Director, Vandalark R. Patricks, as one of the top 10 candidates for the Resilience Fellowship 2021. He was selected among 450 applicants worldwide for his resilient advocacy against corruption, human rights abuses, racial inequities, extortion and organized crimes.
The annual Fellowship builds a platform for cross-sectoral, global and interdisciplinary collaboration between civil society actors, human rights activists, journalists, artists, scholars, policymakers, grassroots community leaders and others working to counter the effects of organized crime.
Vandalark’s goal in the Fellowship is to address extortion in Liberia, West Africa, as a systemic criminal culture that involves public officials and the youth by building a network of Changemakers, advocating relevant policies and raising awareness among stakeholders.
