We work with a team of experts, locally and internationally, to promote public health initiatives to keep the citizens safe and encourage them to take preventive measures against infection-causing diseases. We also work with decision-makers in the country, especially at the National Legislature in Liberia, and public officials in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, including institutions responsible to coordinate health matters, to shape public policy decisions to address today’s ongoing public health concerns.
§ Our public health initiatives involve advocacy to ensure there is access to healthcare, protecting funding for core public health programs and services. We advocate for the elimination of health disparities, which have marginalized and disallowed poor communities from accessing quality healthcare.
§ We promote and advocate for critical public health initiatives; emergency preparedness, and other environmental health issues, including the construction of public health infrastructure, and addressing drug abuse involving young people.
Strategy
I. We identify renowned public policy experts within the government circles and the nonprofit sector, and work together to find solutions.
II. We work with school administrators and heads of community leadership to promote good hygiene practices. We also discourage the consumption of drugs by young people, which has increased criminal activities and armed burglaries in many communities.
III. We lead advocacy that promotes health education, and facilitates processes leading to legislation to improve citizens’ lives.
IV. We collaborate with experts to support research and raise awareness on disease control, prevention, and drugs abuse to attract public support to address the problems.
